This evening of music and song features musicians who have previously featured together in London concert diaries. The world-renowned King’s Singers, Simone Rebello and the Hendon Band of The Salvation Army bring a mix of sounds and techniques which will produce entertainment and uplift after the dark days of winter. The evening’s title spells refreshment and that is the content of repertoires, each displaying technique of the top level, each in their own sphere.
The King’s Singers are always an enormous attraction with vocal abilities unmatched for programme variety and presentation.
Simone Rebello is one of a few female solo percussionists who grace any concert platform. She is much sought after and a popular and effervescent addition to an evening such as this.
The Hendon Band, with its conductor, Dr Stephen Cobb, are world renowned for their consistency and presentation of brass music in this country and also through its travels in Europe and the New World.
After a long winter, new life is appearing and this evening is convened to encourage optimism and a celebration of freshness.
