Saleem Raman

The Andy Davies Quartet performs every Wednesday night at the prestigious Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. They are the house band for the Wednesday night jam session which Andy has hosted for the last three years to the present. The quartet performs music from the hard bop jazz standard repertoire playing compositions by jazz greats such as Benny Golson, Wayne Shorter and John Coltrane to name but a few. The quartet has played across Europe and Japan in some of the world’s leading jazz clubs and festivals.

Andy Davies has performed with many of London’s top jazz performers including Ian Shaw and James Pearson with the Ronnie Scotts Allstars. He studied music at Trinity College of Music and since leaving has been constantly in demand as a soloist for jazz and studio sessions. As well as performing with his own group the Andy Davies Quartet he is a member of new fusion group J-Sonics who recently starred at the London Jazz Festival. He also writes music for the Simians of Swing, an electric jazz project co-led with bassist Lorenzo Bassignani. You will recognise his voice from the television as he is also an experienced voice over artist presenting the programmes on Channel Five and Cartoon Network.
