English Schools' Orchestra

Jubilee Concert

Vaughan Williams
A London Symphony (Symphony No.2)
Cello Concerto
Orb and Sceptre March

Guy Johnston
Robert Pepper MBE

The English Schools’ Orchestra is delighted to return to the Cadogan Hall for its annual concert. They are celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a programme of some of the finest music written by British composers.

Guy Johnston, former BBC Young Musician of the Year and one of our most outstanding young British cellists will play the haunting Moeran Cello Concerto. Walton’s Orb and Sceptre March instils an unmistakably royal flavour and Vaughan Williams’ London Symphony, performed in the heart of our capital city, provides a stirring finale.
