In this evening’s rush hour concert we will hear a wonderful selection of music for soprano and solo violin by Vaughan Williams and his colleagues Gustav Holst and Ivor Gurney.
There is also the chance to hear the world premiere of the winning entry from this year’s LESF songwriting competition and, to conclude the evening, there will be a very special performance of Vaughan Williams’s Two vocal duets. These are currently awaiting publication, having gathered dust in the British Library for many years.
Raphaela Papadakis and Alessandro Ruisi are both multiple award-winning artists and appear courtesy of the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
