Second date added -11 February – due to popular demand!
After an absence of more than two years, violinist Taro Hakase returns to Cadogan Hall, his London concert home. Since June 2014, when Taro last played at Cadogan Hall, he has been busy touring throughout Japan – averaging over 80 concerts a year. Finally, he has found a gap in his busy schedule to come back to perform for his London-based fans.
For the first half of the evening Taro will be accompanied by pianist, Maciej Janas and cellist, Tim Lowe. Maciej has been touring with Taro in Japan since 2004 and this September saw the release of his solo album in Japan. Tim has performed with Taro on a number of occasions both in Britain and Germany – Taro regards him as a great musician and greatly enjoys the opportunity to perform together. After the interval, Taro, Maciej and Tim will be joined by a small string ensemble, created specially for the evening.
The evening will feature many of Taro’s well-loved compositions as well as some of his favourite classical pieces. There will be something for everyone in this programme.
Taro has a large fan base both in Japan and in Britain so to avoid disappointment, book early for this popular concert.
