The world famous Pasadena Roof Orchestra returns to present an evening of sublime music from the 1920s and 1930s. The repertoire includes hot dance tunes as played at the Cotton Club from Duke Ellington, as well as elegant and smooth arrangements of American songbook standards from British bands such as Ray Noble and his Orchestra.
The show features the music from ‘the Jazz Age’ – an era where, thanks to radio and recorded sound, the heady mix of ragtime and blues emerged from New Orleans to conquer the whole world. All served with a dash of English humour.
