- Piano Concerto No. 4
- Philip Glass
- Symphony No. 9

We regret to announce that Ingolf Wunder is unable to perform in this concert due to illness. We are extremely grateful to Melvyn Tan for stepping in at such short notice to perform instead. The programme remains unchanged.
The second concert by this Austrian orchestra showcases two of Beethoven’s works, the first written as a commemorative work to King Stephen I. The orchestra is joined by Melvyn Tan for a performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4.
Philip Glass’ Ninth Symphony, jointly commissioned by the Bruckner Orchester Linz and highly regarded by critics, is ‘late Glass at his most momentous, a significant symphony by America’s most significant symphonist’ (Los Angeles Times). ‘A work of real substance… in content, design and expressive weight’ (Gramophone).
